Note- some of these calls aren’t sleepers just players I think could have a good year. It’s difficult to find a true sleeper in today’s fantasy football landscape, but I’ll do my best to uncover some longshots in larger leagues or leagues with deeper rosters.

Josh Allen
Despite another disappointing playoff loss, Allen continues to be the cream of the crop at QB for fantasy owners. He’s one of the most athletic players on the field and a nightmare for defensive coordinators to try and stop. The Bills went out and got him some help in the form of veteran WR D.J. Moore. Moore will help stretch the field and open things up underneath for the rest of the offense. All signs point to another great year for Allen.

Drake Maye
The scandal surrounding head coach Mike Vrabel continues to hover over Foxborough. No doubt it will affect the Patriots. And while it remains to be seen if Vrabel will coach in 2026, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is still there to man the offensive side of the ball. Maye took a huge step forward last year and helped New England reach the Super Bowl. Veteran WR Stefon Diggs had a good year, but is gone. The word on the street is that New England is in hot pursuit of disgruntled Eagles WR A.J. Brown. I think that will happen in June. If it does, Maye’s fantasy outlook once again seems bright. However, if New England is unable to land Brown, then I would drop Maye a few spots and remove from my like list. As good as Maye is, he needs weapons to reach his potential, imo. Keep an eye on this story as summer progresses.

Caleb Williams
The Bills gain with D.J. Moore is Chicago’s loss. However, Caleb Williams still has plenty of weapons to thrive. WRs Rome Odunze and Luther Burden, along with TE Colston Loveland are expected to pick up the slack from Moore’s departure. The only concern might be the unexpected retirement of all-pro center Drew Dalman. The Bears went out and signed Garret Bradbury and then doubled down when they drafted Logan Jones in the 2nd round. If Williams has time, I expect him to do even better in 2026 now that he and his teammates have more familiarity with Ben Johnson’s offense in year two.

Lamar Jackson
Jackson missed several games and the Ravens never got on track in 2025. Their subpar season cost veteran coach John Harbaugh his job. Maybe a reset with some new blood will do the Ravens good? Jackson is still incredibly talented and lightning quick. The departures of all-pro center Tyler Linderbaum and TE Isaiah Likely will hurt. However, the Ravens acted quickly by reuniting with Guard John Simpson and drafting highly regarded Penn State Guard Vega Ioane in the first round of the draft. If they can control the line of scrimmage and give time for Jackson to pass, he could have another MVP season.

Justin Herbert
The Chargers want to throw 2025 season in the trash heap. What a disaster! Whatever could go wrong, did. They were inundated with injuries and Herbert was under constant duress. Offensive coordinator Greg Romans was fired and former Dolphins head coach, Mike McDaniel was brought in to right the ship. McDaniel believes in getting the ball out quickly. That will help as will a healthy offensive line. All-pro RaShawn Slater returns as does exciting RB Omarion Hampton. The Chargers also brought in TE David Njoku to add some sizzle in the offense. Herbert too good to not start reaching his potential. The pieces might be in place for that to happen in 2026.

Baker Mayfield
At first glance, Baker had a disappointing fantasy season. Many analysts are down on him. I think the reason he struggled came down to injuries. Baker was really banged up last year and it affected his play. He’s healthy now and should revert back to his old form. The loss of Mike Evans hurts. Evans is a future Hall-of-Famer who left for San Francisco. However, Emeka Egbuka seems ready to take another step forward. With a consensus ranking at QB 22 in mid-May, Baker seems like a bargain.

Kyler Murray
Kyler wore out his welcome in Arizona. Maybe the change in scenery will do him some good? Meanwhile up north, Minnesota had their own issues. former first rounder, J.J. McCarthy struggled. Murray has a legit chance to win the starting gig. The old regime who drafted McCarthy is gone, so Murray was not just brought in to be a mentor. I expect Murray to win this job and if he does he’ll have some impressive weapons at his disposal. WR Justin Jefferson is one of the best in the business. Jordan Addison is no slouch and T.J. Hockenson should be fully recovered from his knee surgery. They also brought in former 49’er WR Jauan Jennings.

Ringo is in on Murray as a sleeper in 2026. However, according to Ty Webb (played by Chevy Chase)from Caddyshack, Ringo is a tremendous slouch when it comes to making good fantasy calls, haha!

Jacoby Brissett/Gardner Minshew/Carson Beck (LONGSHOT PICK LARGE LEAGUE 12+ WITH DEEP ROSTERS)
If you’re in a deeper league and looking for a longshot, take a look in Arizona. Jacoby Brissett should be the guy, but until he & Arizona agree on a new deal, there’s a cloud of uncertainty in The Valley of the Sun. Gardner Minshew is there in case things get ugly or there’s an injury. And if the season goes really south, don’t be surprised if rookie Carson Beck gets the call later in the year. Whoever mans the helm will have some nice weapons to work with. WR Marvin Harrison Jr. seems poised to take a huge step forward if he can stay healthy. TE Trey McBride is the best TE in the business when it comes to catching passes. And the Cardinals drafted arguably the best offensive skill player in the draft in RB Jeremiyah Love, along with Guard Chase Bisontis to help in the trenches.

The current consensus rankings for all three QBs in mid-May…..Brissett is QB 27, Minshew is QB 47, and Beck is QB 38.

Kirk Cousins / Fernando Mendoza
It sounds like Captain Kirk will be the guy for a good part of the season, if not the entire season. However, just in case he’s not, I’m including the MVP for the National Champion Indiana Hoosiers, Fernando Mendoza. Whoever plays in Sin City will have some formidable weapons to work with such as: Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, and underrated newcomer Jalen Nailor. Both QBs are practically free in drafts with their consensus rankings at respectively (Cousins QB 34 and Mendoza QB 29). Worth a shot.
