Ringo's 2026 WR Sleepers

*Note- some of these calls aren’t sleepers just players I think could have a good year. It’s difficult to find a true sleeper in today’s fantasy football landscape, but I’ll do my best to uncover some longshots in larger leagues or leagues with deeper rosters.

Ja’Marr Chase
(9/06) UPDATE Chase injured his knee in practice. I’m bumping him down a few slots. Maybe he’s okay, then again even though this isn’t a season ending injury, this is less than ideal.

There’s not much to say. If Ja’Marr and Joe Burrow stay healthy, Chase is in store for another big year.

Please pass to all-pro Ja’M-arr.
Excuse me, please pass to all-pro Ja’M-arr.
Please pass to all-pro Ja’M-arr.
Would you please pass to jelly? Haha!

You’ll call him fantastic. You’ll call him remarkable. But please don’t dare call him jelly, haha!

Cee Dee Lamb
Lamb is one of the most talented WRs in the league. He and George Pickens make a tough combo. If anything happens to Pickens, Lamb will get even more volume. As long as Dak can stay healthy, Cee Dee should score plenty of TDs.

Justin Jefferson / Jordan Addison
Jefferson and Addison had disappointing seasons in 2025. The Vikings’ QB play was not the best. They brought in Kyler Murray to compete for the starting gig. I think he’ll win the job over J.J. McCarthy. If he does, both should have solid years, as long as Murray can stay healthy.

Nico Collins
The recent unfortunate injury to Jayden Higgins seems to put the onus on Nico Collins to carry the WR room, at least until Tank Dell feels well enough to play a full game. The Texans might have to go out and sign someone. Rumors are DeAndre Hoppkins has expressed interest in returning to his ole stomping ground, whether the interest is mutual is another story. However, at least at this point of time (Aug 20th), it looks like Collins is in store for the lion share of the work and that’s a boon fo0r fantasy owners.

DeVonta Smith
On the flip side, when AJ Brown moves on that means DeVonta Smith becomes the de-facto #1 WR in the City of Brotherly Love. DeVonta is plenty capable of that role. When Jaylen Waddle went down with a season ending injury in Alabama Smith took over and won the Heisman. Even though the Eagles don’t pass it a ton, I expect Smith to have a career year, if he and Jalen Hurts can stay healthy.

Here’s a look at what DeVonta Smith did when he was the featured WR at Alabama.

Marvin Harrison Jr.
A lot of fantasy analysts are writing Marvin off as a bust. I think that's a mistake. Arizona has a new head coach this season, Mike LaFleur. LaFleur comes over from Los Angeles under the tutelage of offensive wiz, Sean McVay. McVay's offense features a pass-oriented attack, the same one where a fantasy star WR named Puka plays. In addition, the Cardinals added more juice to the offense with RB Jeremiyah Love. With a consensus ranking at WR 31, Harrison seems cheap given his talent and the potential of an improved Cardinals' offense in 2026.

Luther Burden
(8/13) UPDATE- Burden strained his groin in practice. Unsure if this will hamper Burden in the season. I’m bumping him down a few notches, but still like him this year. If he can heal up, I think he’ll do well.

D.J. Moore’s departure opens up a spot for Burden for a bigger role in the offense. The Bears in general should be more comfortable with Ben Johnson’s offense in year two. I expect a huge jump and Burden should be one of the benefactors. Even with a current consensus ranking at WR 23, Burden seems fairly priced and could make some big plays in 2026.

I remember another Luther in the scene below. Unfortunately, the best I could find is just an audio version. The video was blurred out-ugh! Go to 1:48 mark in the video where Luther tries to get a free pizza, haha!

Terry McLaurin
Throw out 2025. Without Jayden Daniels, the Commanders’ offense struggled. Daniels is back now and as long as he can stay healthy, McLaurin should be in for a solid year. The Commander still have a good offensive line, so Daniels should be well protected. With a consensus ranking at WR 22, McLaurin is probably fairly priced, but if Washington performs like I think they can, he should do fine.

Jordyn Tyson
(8/17) UPDATE- Tyson injured his hamstring. He’s expected to miss two months. Apparently, it’s unrelated to his prior injury. Hopefully, sometime in October he’ll be able to return. Tyson is off my sleepers list unless you get him for a bargain.

Carnell Tate might have gone first, but most scouts/NFL execs believe that Jordyn Tyson was the most talented WR with the highest ceiling in the draft. One execs’ comp for Tyson was Justin Jefferson light. According to scouting reports Tyson is an improved route runner who is able to play any of the WR positions. The reason he slipped in the draft was an extensive injury history in college. However, his WR coach at Arizona State, and former Steelers all-pro WR Hines Ward put those fears to rest by vouching for Tyson. Tyson refused to come off the field vs Texas Tech after he hurt his hamstring, He said (and I’m paraphrasing here) I’m not leaving my brothers.) Tyson went on to almost single handedly helping the Sun Devils win with a crucial fourth and two which led to the game winning TD. With a consensus ranking at WR 36, Tyson is very cheap given his immense talent and heart.

Ringo’s comp- Tyson reminds me a little of a lighter version of Dez Bryant. Tyson isn’t a burner, but he fights for yardage and is dangerous with YAC (yards after the catch) much like Dez was for Dallas.

Quentin Johnston
A lot of folks are ranking & picking Ladd McConkey over Quentin Johnston. What if I told you that I think those player should be reversed? Okay I see the eye roll but hear me out. Johnston is bigger and more physical than McConkey. He’s a better red zone option because of his size and more physical nature. L.A. also has a new offensive coordinator in Mike McDaniel which should mean more pass attempts. The Chargers line is finally healthy so that should give Justin Herbert more time to pass. I expect the entire offense to make a jump this year and I think Johnston can take another step forward. If you draft “Quint” you’re going to need a bigger boat…to carry all of those fantasy football trophies, haha!

Stefon Diggs
He may no longer be in his prime, but Stefon Diggs is still really good. A lot of folks wrote him off last year, but not Mark Ringo. He was on my sleeper WR list and he’s here again. Diggs signed with Washington and is paired with another great QB in Jayden Daniels. He’ll play the 1B role to Terry McLaurin’s 1A role, but there should be plenty of TDs to go around as long as Jayden Daniels can stay healthy. That’s my only concern. His current ADP is at WR 52 at the time of this writing (August 7 2026) which is very cheap. However, I expect that to move higher as more folks figure out where Diggs is playing.

My readers, “Ringo, do you know what he is? He’s a contender. He’s a climber. Ringo, do you know what you are? You’re a tomato. Hey, kid, do you ever think about retiring?”

Me, “No.”

My readers, “Think about it.” Haha!

Jalen Nailor (LONGSHOT PICK LARGE 12+ TEAMS WITH DEEP ROSTERS)

Jalen Nailor played in the shadows of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but make no mistake, Nailor is electric in the open field. He’s also a good route runner and has a physicality to his game when it comes to creating YAC (yards after the catch). Nailor is reunited with former Vikings’ teammate, Kirk Cousins, in Sin City. Waiting in the wings to take over at QB is the number one overall pick Fernando Mendoza. All Mendoza did was lead the unheralded Indiana Hoosiers to a National Championship.

With a consensus ranking at WR 74, Nailor is pretty much free and I think based on his talent alone, he outperforms his draft cost in street shoes.

Darnell Mooney / Darius Slayton (LONGSHOT PICK LARGE 12+ TEAMS WITH DEEP ROSTERS)
Malik Nabers is coming off major reconstructive knee surgery. He won’t be 100% all year. And the Giants fear he probably won’t be ready for week one. Someone has to pick up the slack. Two of the benefactors could be Darius Slayton and Darnell Mooney, along with TE Isiah Likely. Both WRs are deep threats, but Slayton is bigger. Note- Mooney is reunited with Matt Nagy who was his head coach in Chicago. Jaxson Dart is better than the QB he had in Chicago, Mitch Trubisky. When Mooney played with Kirk Cousins in Atlanta, he put up solid numbers for a low ranked fantasy sleeper. The only concern is if John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator, Matt Nagy want to focus the offense on running the ball. However, with Mooney and Slayton’s current consensus rankings at WR 78 and WR 104 respectively, it’s worth a roll of the dice in larger and deep roster leagues.

Tank Dell (LONGSHOT PICK- LARGE 12+ TEAMS LEAGUES WITH DEEP ROSTERS)
If you’re willing to be patient and want to roll the dice on a long shot with star potential, Tank Dell is the guy. Dell is rehabbing from a gruesome knee injury. It’s a career threatening injury, the same one which Tyreek hill is currently trying to comeback from. The Texans have already admitted they are taking things slow and cautious with Dell. They’re probably going to limit his snap count in the early part of the season if he plays. The good news is there are encouraging reports coming out of Houston regarding Dell’s progress. How close to the pre-injury Tank Dell will the post-injury Tank Dell be? With a current consensus ranking at WR 80, I’ll roll the dice on the electric WR with the hope that he’s still got “it”.

Deebo Samuel (LONGSHOT PICK- LARGE 12+ TEAMS WITH DEEP ROSTERS)
Deebo just signed with 49’ers after Ricky Pearsall’s injury setback which could be season ending. Also note- that RB Jordan James injured his ribs and will be sidelined for eight weeks. With a current consensus ranking at WR 67 at the time of this writing (August 7th, 2026), Deebo is definitely worth a shot. That ranking figures to move up even higher by the time of most drafts.

Ted Hurst (LONGSHOT PICK- LARGE 12+ TEAMS WITH DEEP ROSTERS)
Hurst is big and fast. He’s had an impressive training camp. However, the current issue is whether he’ll get a chance when the games count. He’s behind Egbuka,Godwin, and MacMillan on the depth chart. That said, all three have had injury issues int he past. And the guys in front of him are versatile where they can play any WR role on offense, so if an injury occurs, Hurst could move into the X position and be a deep threat. Hurst’s size makes him the best red zone target since he’s the tallest Bucs WR. Hurst’s current ADP is WR 92! He’s practically free in drafts. Bottom line if Hurst gets a shot, I think he’ll do well.

Ringo’s comp- He doesn’t have the same pedigree coming out of college, but Hurst reminds me a little of Randy Moss. He’s a tall, lanky WR with speed and a knack for big plays.
