* Note- These rankings are part of an accuracy contest. The contest has unique rules which have altered my rankings significantly. Ignore the rankings and focus on the notes with my analysis.

You asked for it. You got it. Here are Ringo’s 2022 Player Notes Section (Half Point PPR) with my take on each player. (Click the Half Point PPR option in the Scoring button below. Passing TDS = 4pts Rushing/Receiving TDs = 6 pts). It shows the players I’m targeting, the ones I’m avoiding, and my Rip Van Winkle sleepers baby! You can sort it by position or see where I have them in the overall ranks. I’ll be updating these throughout the summer, until week 1.

Added player notes during the season-

QB- Derek Carr / Jarrett Stidham/ Josh Jacobs/ Davante Adams/ Darren Waller
(12/29). DEVELOPING STORY……After Josh McDaniels announced that Jarrett Stidham would be the starter for the remainder of the season, Derek Carr left the team in order to not be a distraction. It looks like Carr has played his last game for Vegas. The Raiders most likely did this for salary cap reasons. Stidham will have his hands’ full playing behind a shaky offensive line. The entire Raiders' offense gets a major downgrade with this news including some big-time fantasy stars...Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs, & a healthy Darren Waller. In light of this new development, I would bench all of them versus a very stingy 49'ers defense. I guess you could say Carr is hitting the road haha! When in Vegas (or anywhere for that matter), always bet on Ringo telling incredibly bad jokes haha!

RBs Kareem Hunt / D’Ernest Johnson
The Browns season is teetering on the edge. A loss on Monday night, to division rival Cincinnati, would almost ensure they become sellers at the trade deadline. Kareem Hunt has made it no secret that he wants out of Cleveland. Philadelphia, L.A. Rams, Carolina, and Buffalo all could be eyeing an upgrade at RB. If this transpires, don't forget about the domino effect that would happen in Cleveland. D'Ernest Johnson would move up the depth chart ladder. He'd not only be part of a RBBC on a run-heavy offense, but also be one Nick Chubb injury away from being a fantasy star. Hunt is the guy a lot of football fans are focusing on, but D'Enerst Johnson is the sneaky, under-the-radar add many fantasy owners can still make in case a trade happens. Keep a close eye on this situation.

TE Mo Alie Cox
Unfortunately, the benching of Matt Ryan most likely hurts Mo Alie-Cox's fantasy stats. It’s best to leave him on the waiver wire. Side note- Mo’s name is really Fewer Alie-Cox, but he changed it because of skyrocketing inflation haha! The good news is that you still get my incredibly bad jokes for the same low price. Hey, I'm Mark Ringo- a man of the people haha!

QBs Malik Willis/Ryan Tannehill
Ryan Tannehill injured his ankle last week. The Titans are hoping he can suit up in week 8. However, hope doesn't pay the fantasy bills. It’s not a bad idea to pick up Malik "Whatcha Talkin' About" Willis just in case. Now you're probably saying, "Whatcha talkin about Ringo?" (Reference- 80’s sit-com Diff’rent Strokes- see below) The rookie QB showed flashes in the preseason. His rushing abilities should provide a solid floor. And the Texans are a decent draw for desperate fantasy owners in Superflex leagues. That's what I'm talkin' about.

QBs Mac Jones/Bailey Zappe
DEVELOPING STORY....Mac Jones was benched after throwing a bad interception vs the Bears. Rookie backup QB Bailey Zappe replaced Jones and promptly led the Patriots to a touchdown. However, the 2nd half was a different story. It was all Chicago, in a Bears blowout.

(See Bobby McFerrin's song below- Don't Worry Be Happy) Here's a little blurb I wrote, You might want to read it note by note. Don't worry. Be Zappe. Look at me, (Mark Ringo) I write fantasy articles, I'm happy. Hey, I’ll give you the name of my website. When you're worried, read one of my articles. I make you happy haha!

RB Cam Akers
DEVELOPING STORY.........Don't look now, but there's trouble brewing for the defending champions. It sounds like there is tension between Sean McVay and Cam Akers. Akers is out for week 6 and it doesn't appear to be injury related. The big question looming is, is his time in L.A. over as well? (See Sean McVay's press conference in the link below) Darrell Henderson is the next man up. Any way you slice it- this is not a good sign for Akers. Keep a close eye on this situation as it unfolds.

TE Greg Dulcich (added Oct 13th week 6)
While Taysom Hill is getting most of the waiver headlines at TE this week, don't forget about rookie TE Greg Dulcich. The Broncos are high on Dulcich's potential. He's back from the injured reserve and should see significant playing time very soon. According to scouts, he's more of a move TE than a blocking one, which is good for fantasy owners. His calling card is his prowess as a receiver. He has a good YAC (yards after catch) ability. If the Broncos' offense can get into gear, a big if, Dulcich could be one of the beneficiaries.

Dulcich is not a flashy pickup, but he might be a good one in the barren wasteland that is TE . He certainly can't be any worse than Albert Oh crap how do I say his last name, who has lost playing time and appears to be the coach's doghouse. It just might be worth scratching that TE free-agent itch with Dulcich. Either that or grab some calamine lotion in aisle five haha! A fantasy football prescription from Mark Ringo. Worth a shot.

TE- Taysom Hill (added Oct 11th week 6)
I might be way off on this call, but here's the way I see Taysom Hill going forward. Unless you have an elite TE, like Travis Kelce, TE is a total crap shoot anyway. It's probably the most TD dependent of any position regarding fantasy success. The Saints' offense struggled with Jameis Winston, who now has a few fractured vertebrae in his back. Their offensive line has been shaky this year. Saints beat writer, Nick Underhill thinks, as do I, that they'll lean on the running game. One of their most dangerous weapons is Taysom Hill. While they may limit his touches so he doesn't break down, I think they'll use him plenty in the red zone. He lit a fire under their offense. What Hill lacks in catches, he makes up for in rushing and passing opportunities in the red zone.

To put it in a baseball analogy, most TE hitters strike out anyway. You might as well start one who has a chance of hitting some home runs and winning a few weeks for you on his own. I guess what I'm saying is, this is a Hill I'm willing to die on haha! (The beautiful thing about that joke is you guys never saw it coming. I was like a sniper, laying in the thick brush haha!)

Who dat rank Taysom Hill so high and tells these bad jokes? -Mark Ringo dat who

Kicker
Cade York-
If you can make your field goals there.
You can make them anywhere.
It's up to you, Cade York, Cade York!

TE- Kyle Pitts-
Note- when I used the term nuclear, I had no idea it was a popular term and used by someone else. Since I’m unable to change the draft player notes- they come over from another website in widgets from a link. Anyway, please replace the word nuclear to……”has a chance of going Mount Vesuvius.” As a writer, I take pride in being creative & original.

QB Kenny Pickett
Mitch Trubisky was replaced in the second half contest versus the N.Y. Jets by rookie QB Kenny Pickett. Barring an injury, it seems like Pickett is the guy moving forward. Alright fantasy owners, now listen to me. This is the last shot that we’ve got. We’re going to run the Pickett fence at them. George (Pickens), you’re the swingman. Diontae, you’re solo right. George should be open swinging around the end of that fence. Now boys, don’t get caught watching the paint dry. -Coach Ringo
