Ringo's 2025 QB Sleepers
*Note- some of these calls aren’t sleepers just players I think could have a good year. It’s difficult to find a true sleeper in today’s fantasy football landscape, but I’ll do my best to uncover some longshots in larger leagues or leagues with deeper rosters.
Gentlemen (and ladies) welcome to Ringo’s Top Gun. In case some of you wonder who’s the best? The best of the best is listed here. The elite. At Sleepers and Busts, we’ll make you better.
*Note #2- Thank you to all of our men and women in the military who serve and protect us in the States and around the world, as well as the veterans who have already served.
Josh Allen
Josh Allen is simply incredible. Even without a star studded cast, he continues to be a dominant fantasy QB. Just think what he could do if TE Dalton Kincaid can stay healthy and if WR Keon Coleman takes a step forward. Just in case, the Bills brought in former Charger, WR Joshua Palmer, to help.
Drake Maye
The Patriots desperately wanted to trade down, but found no takers. They addressed their biggest weakness, offensive line, by taking OT Will Campbell. They also brought in Stefon Diggs and rookies RB TreVeon Henderson and WR Kyle Williams to add some juice in a stagnant offense. Like the Bears, they got their guy, former player Mike Vrabel, to lead them. Maye showed glimpses last year. Unlike Jerry Seinfeld, I don’t love ”The Drake”, but I like him. If I miss out on my higher ranked QBs, I’m willing to take a shot with The Drake. However, I would make sure I have a veteran signal caller in case Ringo has to yell Mayday! That said, if New England can protect him, Drake could take another step forward in 2025.
When Josh and Drake aren’t battling against each other on the football field, the rivalry continues to see who is the master of ping pong. Haha!
Lamar Jackson
As long is Derrick Henry’s play is dominant, Lamar Jackson should continue to thrive. Henry is the perfect thunder in this thunder and lightning combo which ran roughshod through NFL defenses.
Jayden Daniels
Washington not only added OT Josh Conerly in the draft, but also brought in Pro Bowl LT Laremy Tunsil in a trade with Houston, which give the Commanders one of the best offensive lines they've fielded in years. They also traded a fifth found pick for WR Deebo Samuel, whose YAC (yards after catch) is one of the best in the league. The new fortified offensive line, should propel not just Daniels, but the entire Washington offense (McLaurin, Brian Robinson Jr., Ekeler, Ertz, etc.) to even greater heights in 2025. I think Daniels is sitting on a huge year.
Red seven! Red seven!! Red seven!!! Hot route! Hot route!! Haha!
Patrick Mahomes
The last few years I’ve ranked Mahomes pretty high and the last few years I’ve been burned worse than Jack Chester played by the late John Candy in the movie Summer Rental (see link below). So I figured, what’s one more year? Haha!
The Chiefs have a really nice schedule on paper. They play a lot of shaky defenses. And the additions of LT Jaylon Moore and rookie LT Josh Simmons should help keep the pass rushers off Mahomes. WR Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown are expected to be back healthy and Xavier Worthy has another year of experience under his belt. Travis Kelce decided to return in what might be his swan song. The biggest concern I have is the Chiefs’ defense. They’re pretty good and that limits Mahomes’ passing stats. Still, it’s hard for me to bet against Patrick. He’s one of the best QBs I’ve ever seen, although I kind of liked the commercials that Patrick wasn’t in, haha!

Jared Goff
Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson might be gone, but the main pieces of the Lions’ potent offense remains in tact. If you don’t get one of the top QBs, Goff is a good bet. Jared leads one of the best offenses in the league and the Lions should be involved in plenty of shootouts. It doesn’t hurt that Jared plays in a dome for half of his games.
Justin Fields
The new regime moved on from future Hall-of-Famers QB Aaron Rodgers and WR Davante Adams. We’ll see how that works out. In Pittsburgh, the Steelers wanted to keep Fields, but at their price. The Jets jumped in and made Justin an offer he couldn’t refuse. They also added rookie OT Armand Membou and TE Mason Taylor in the draft. Fields’ biggest strength is his rushing ability. He’s also reunited with his former college teammate, Garrett Wilson.
Sophomore QB Jordan Travis retired on the advice of his doctor. Jordan suffered a brutal knee injury at Florida State and unfortunately wasn’t able to make a full recovery. The runway is clear for Justin Fields to take off in 2025. He’ll need to use his legs to rack up those rushing points. Those rushing points are the key to Fields’ fantasy success in 2025.
The rules are simple. Once you go in Ringo’s QB Sleepers article, you don’t come out. He’s The Duke of New York…A Number One!
Caleb Williams
Caleb was seen partying with three models at a Miami restaurant in early May. I can’t say I blame him. I’d be partying too after what the Bears did this offseason. Chicago was very un-Bears-like and opened up their wallet. I think there was dust from the prehistoric era that came out this past spring, haha! The additions of veterans Joe Thuney, Drew Dalman, and Jonah Jackson should fortify the line. In the draft, they added OT Ozzy Trapilo. Chicago also drafted TE Colston Loveland and WR Luther Burden, in addition to getting the hottest coaching candidate on the market in former Lions coach, Ben Johnson. All of this sets up well for Caleb Williams to have a good year in 2025 and in the future.
However, if Caleb struggles, the Bears’ offense could take a dive. (WARNING the first video below is graphic and might be disturbing to some viewers. Parental discretion is advised. The hunters were culling the bear population in Canada. Ringo gives the bear’s dive a 9.5. Good form. Stayed still, degree of difficulty was tough with the backward pike, but didn’t stick the landing. The East German judge lowballed him for that with only a 8.3. The gold went to Thornton Melon for his Triple Lindy dive. The degree of difficulty was a 10 and he performed it flawlessly, haha!)
Trevor Lawrence
The Jags pulled off a shocker in the draft. They went up and got their guy, CB/WR Travis Hunter. Hunter along with Brian Thomas Jr. should form a lethal combination at WR. That makes life easier for Trevor Lawrence. Rookie RB Bhayshul Tuten provides blazing speed at RB as long as he can hang on to the ball. Even with the losses of Christian Kirk and Evan Engram in the offseason, Trevor Lawrence appears to be in line for a career year, if the Jags can protect him. If you fade Trevor this year don’t be surprised if you’re singing this tune by the end of the year, “I fought T-Law and…T-Law won. I fought T-Law and…T-Law won!”
